A family road trip to Ise (Mie prefecture)
First stopped at Toba aquarium and saw signature exhibits of Dugon.
It was gifted by the Phillipines government about 33 years ago.
The area Toba is famous for pearl farming and we discussed about pearl divers in Darwin.
Bit of connection between Australia and Japan.
We stayed at a traditional Ryokan (hotel) and slept on Tatami mats with grand parents.
Onsen (hot springs) was great and made our skin smooth.
